A new work by Kristupas Bubnelis, A Breach in a City, will be premiered by the International Contemporary Ensemble as part of Columbia Composers’ 2026 season. The concert takes place on March 24, 2026 at 6:30pm at St. Paul\'s Chapel (Columbia University).
In a review for Lietuvos rytas, musicologist Rūta Gaidamavičiūtė praised Substantia Innominata for its seamless textural transformations: “The work unfolds in waves, continually cresting into new peaks. The textural strata are woven with such assurance, and the unusual octave sonorities – shaped through a division of the octave into 17 equal parts – shift so seamlessly from one state to the next that it feels like the work of a master.”

Performers: Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (cond. Elias P. Brown), Rimvydas Savickas (clarinet), Andrius Rekašius (percussion).
